(And I want to wait until I get the pics my friend Keren took of the party anyway. Yes, we had a photographer! I can take my own, but it was nice not being stuck behind the lens. And I'll actually be IN a couple! If you realllllly can't wait, here are my pictures, my mom's pictures, and my friend Christy's pictures of the party on flickr.) ; )
Communication
Lilah's words: Dada, Mama, and lots of other vowels, consonants, babbling & screeching

Aidan's new phrases: "Come heeeeee-yuh, Mama!"
"I'm coming!"
"Yuck, meow, No! Don't yo up!" (throw up)
"Dada, don't yell at Mama!"
"Mama, don't yell at Dada!"
"Mama, No! Don't yell at Aidan!" (apparently he thinks we yell... a LOT.) : )
"Dank you, Mama. You're welcome." (he likes to say both at one time)
"Dat mine. Dat Aidan's."
--- he has an incredible memory and is still talking about the train that was broken at Sophia's house and how Dada's kite hit him on his head at the beach.

Motor skills
Lilah: walking!! And on her birthday too. Before Friday, she walked 1-3 steps at a time. On her birthday, she walked from the living room to the kitchen. She walks with her arms up, like a field goal, and prefers to carry a piece of clothing when she goes.

Aidan: can thread beads on necklaces by himself and get shoes/clothing on and off successfully. Seems to be ambidextrous.

Nutrition
Lilah: loves it spicy! She downed half a piece of meat lover's pizza at Drew's party last weekend. Ate half of my smokehouse turkey sandwich from Panera. And will try pretty much anything, although it might end up on the floor.

Aidan: pretty much opposite of above... except if he doesn't like something, it ends up on the floor too. Not sure when this pickiness will turn around. It's exhausting and stressful for Mama around mealtimes.

Milk
(figured I'd dedicate an entire section to this. Aidan would be quite pleased.)
Lilah: made the switch to a sippy cup in ONE day about a month ago. She drinks about 3 sippy cups of milk a day (cold, too! No warming milk up in this house) and will also drink water or juice at mealtimes.

Aidan: will ask for milk when he's hungry, milk when he's grumpy, milk when he's bored. ALL DAY LONG. It works as a great bribery tool.

Growth
Lilah: is wearing size 18 months and will be moving in 18-24 and 2T very shortly. Size 5 shoe, but could be 5 1/2 if they made them.

Aidan: depending on the brand, he wears size 4T or even 5T tops, and 3T or 4T bottoms. Thankfully his shorts from last summer all still fit! Size 10 1/2 shoe.

Potty-training
Lilah: Um, still a ways off (but I'm hoping for earlier than 3.)

Aidan: if I take his diaper off, he'll go naked for awhile and ask to pee in the potty (standing up), but he has still never (not ONCE) pooped in the potty. Summertime is my goal (and his deadline.)

Napping
Lilah: 1-2 naps a day.

Aidan: none. He'll fall asleep if we're in the car around 4pm, but it doesn't make for a very pleasant evening when he wakes up.

Nighttime
Lilah: still waking up once a night (if not more.) We're going out of our minds. Sometimes it's teething-related, sometimes she just needs more calories at dinner. Sometimes she does bless us by sleeping through, but those are always the nights we're staying up late, so we're still exhausted. (yes, call us stupid. We're too tired to care for your insults.)

Aidan: sleeping-through-the-night champ since 6 months old! He's even put himself to bed, when he's really tired.

Playtime
They're playing together!! Chase (albeit slooooow for a toddling Lilah), peek-a-boo, tickling, wrestling, playing at the train table, throwing sand in each other's eyes (oh wait, that was just Aidan), and jumping on Aidan's bed. If I ever doubted why I had kids so close together, I don't anymore. : )
Love you, Pod & Bean!

Love the pictures. Your kids are so cute! Love the green and yellow theme of the party.
Very sweet! Glad to see some pictures!
Ian would drink milk ALL THE TIME, if we let him. I always felt like since he didn't eat much, that I shouldn't take away the milk. But, we recently cut it back to milk in the mornings only. He's been gobbling down food at lunch and dinner(we also cut out any snacks after 2PM). And he's gained some weight too. Although, weight doesn't seem to be an issue for Aidan:) Ian has even tried pizza at home, which is a big step for him.
Also, have you tried Stride Rite for shoes? If she needs a half size, they do make it. And their girls shoes are, in my opinion, cute.
Your little ones are precious!
You are truly blessed with beautiful kiddos! And um....Aidan at three is bigger on all accounts than T at four!!! He's BIG!
Aidan and Nate are in the same size, but Aidan has bigger feet. :) Nate is in a 10 now. You had to know you were going to have crazy tall kids with sir Chadly's family tree..a redwood! ;o) Lilah will start slimming out now that she is walking. I couldn't believe that Arielle lost a pound between 12 and 15 months. I'm excited to see stats!
So sweet, Heather! Can't wait to see the party pictures. Looks like they were gearing up for a great time!
they remind me of Amelia and Avie....Amelia is SO PICKY and Avie would eat anything and tries everything. Amelia has finally at least trying things....99% of those she does not like.
As for the sizes....Avie is wearing Amelias hand me downs....that she wore last year!!!! Crazy...pretty soon Amelia will be wearing Avie's hand-me-downs.
Lilah is such a cutie, I could just squeeze those cheeks:)
